... considering that we had 24 hrs to change the venue from Orlando to Senaoane .. then we had to the cops and the Community Policing Forum on the Erea the we anticipate the most decent people to grace the launch and that we do not indulge street bashes as they wanted to stop the party from happening. I must say we did not have a mass number of crowds but we had a lot of fun and the dj's were on point.. namely dj zakes, lady buhle, sphiwe, bizzoro and the man of the moment dj Mandla of jozi knights... beautifull people and a massive sound system, visual projection.. in a nutshell the whole setup was off the book of making great parties with limited resources. With the difficulties we faced hrs prior to the party.. All mixanathi members.. namely Thando, khosi, char, sechaba, zwelkid, tso, waxmus, bennito and yours truly "100% cotton" we not only managed to carry on with the party.. But we made a first claa event. It makes one happy to be associated with a group of winners "no matter the odds", a group that doesn't recognise the word failure, you guys are special.. one last party is coming soon "zwelkids birthday party" before the year end. to everyone who supported us, we feel honored to have had you guys by us all the time.. we can now see the light at end of the tunnel.. look out for more next year
formele known as DJ WAX.. WAXMUS got fascinated by the design and the sound of the vinyl "LP" , he headed for house afrika to purchase his first record, his style got influnced by a number of dj's including DJ STYLZ and he cut mixes for dj fresh's show at Y-FM and became a resident dj at shabba's show and later his sounds have evolved into deeper version of deep house which at "mixanathi" they call it DEEPTENSION thanx to his cousin dJ ZWELKID.WAXMUS says deep house justifies the elements of good music as one will consume the phenom of live music, what a peace of mind!!!
He says when he is behind the decks he gets into character, he becomes the dj, the lister, the critic and the producer with a soul purpose to all this...make the masses feel good.
